DESCRIPTION

Calcutta is a session IPA series that evolves with each release. The series number typically indicates how many iterations we have brewed, each one with new hops and tweaks. This special edition, a Black IPA, is our take on the same ingredients but brewing to fool the mind. Our goal was to craft a classic IPA but dark in color; as such this beer pours dark with a thick tan head – despite this, if you close your eyes the taste experience might fool you into beleiving its one of its light colored variants. As this beer has a similar taste profile to our session IPA save for a hint of chocolate which is almost all but lost in the citrus flavors and aromas of the liberally hopped beer.
