Store Cold – Serve Fresh
The second beer in the Just Another series. Cherry beer has been a popular consumer product for many years in Norway, it is possible to find kriek style beers in many supermarkets across the country and that has been the case for years. We wanted to bring Hogna quality to that department. Here we have a blend of sour and sweet cherries in a base beer that was fermented with a unique yeast: Lachancea thermotolerans. The yeast produces lactic acid which also contributes to the overall acidity or perceived sourness of the beer.
The beer pours ruby red and bubbles with an effervescent intensity often found in mineral water. The first smells that greet the nose are of cherry pie and a summer breeze in a cherry orchard. Upon sipping the beverage one’s taste receptors are likely to be greeted with a light acidity and an abundance of cherry flavor.
Serving recommendations: 2 – 6ºC.
